Be careful what you pick as a gift - A funny story

Back then I was really bad in choosing gifts and will always buy them at the 11th hour. The result is get something that looks good :) or for that matter smells good.

Anyway I was dating this girl and was looking for a gift as Christmas was near. So as usual, it was 23rd December when I was running around stores and googling texts .... "Best gifts for your girlfriend" - but I couldn't find anything. As I was frantically running around this store when I saw this section of beautiful glass decorative items.

I said wow they look great, so I picked up a piece that fit my budget, it looked like a bell. So I gift wrapped it and proudly presented on the day of the Christmas. Later in the evening she called and asked - "Hey I love the gift but what it is?" I said its a decorative item, just put it on your desk.

The next day I didn't received any call from her so I decided to call her in the evening. The first thing she said - "please make sure you know what you are giving as a gift" I said what happened - She said her brother saw the gift and said it is a chandelier (you know the ones where you put oil and but the tip) and not a decorative item.
