What is about first love?
What is about 'first love' that we all have something treasured in terms of memories, moments that hold a special place in our heart. Things that look silly today had meaning and relevance in those days. We fall in love many times during the course of a lifetime, but the first rush of love is unforgettable.
Back in our school days if a good looking girl would share her lunch with me or talk to me for 5 minutes - I thought, yeah that's the girl, I want to date her, marry her and so on.. I remember once I even thought of the school I would send our kids to. But among all those girls that I dreamt of going out on dates or for that matter have kids with, there was one that I will always remember (lets call her Sue) - we wouldn't go out on dates or dinners or parties or exchange fancy gifts, actually I don't recall ever gifting her anything - but there was joy in small things like, walking home from school with her, going to her house for studying together, playing soccer and looking for her to see if she watched the goal I just scored.
Many years passed and I just came back from a project in Europe that I thought of getting back with her, I called her house and a lady picked up the phone, it was her aunt, she sound little reluctant when I asked for Sue. Her aunt passed the phone to her mother. I again asked can I talk to Sue, her mother said 'mmm actually she's getting married today, can you call her sometime later'.
The last time I saw her was about 15 years back, I fondly remember our friendship and good times.
For me, 'first love' is like the alphabets - they are the basics of the whole future relationships of a person.

Tobias Vincent Maguire popularly known as Toby Maguire was born on June 27, 1975, to Wendy (née Brown), a secretary turned screenwriter and producer, and Vincent Maguire, a construction worker and cook. His parents were 18 and 20 years old, and unmarried, at the time of his birth; the two married and subsequently divorced when Maguire was two. Maguire spent much of his childhood moving from town to town, living with each parent and other family members. During his childhood, Maguire entertained the idea of becoming a chef and to that end wanted to enroll in a Home Economics class as a sixth grader. His mother offered him US $100 to take a drama class instead, and Tobey agreed.
The nomadic nature of his school-age years began to take a toll on Maguire emotionally, and finally, after yet another relocation to yet another school, Maguire dropped out of his freshman year of high school and never returned, deciding to focus himself on his blossoming acting career. Maguire's first appearance in a feature film was in the 1989 movie The Wizard. During many of his auditions, Maguire found himself competing opposite another rising child star actor, Leonardo DiCaprio. The pair struck up a fast friendship and made an informal pact to help each other get parts in their movies/TV shows/other projects. In 2002, Maguire shot to superstardom as the web-slinging superhero Spider-Man in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man, based on the popular Marvel comic book series. He reprised the part in Spider-Man 2 (2004) and Spider-Man 3 (2007) and has provided the voice of Spider-Man in the video game adaptions of the films.
Maguire married his long-time relationship partner, jewelry designer Jennifer Meyer, on September 3, 2007, in Kona, Hawaii. Maguire has been a vegetarian for over 14 years and is working toward a vegan diet, though he makes vegetarian changes in his diet to either gain or lose weight for movie roles, like dramatically decreasing his calorie intake for Seabiscuit followed by a rapid increase to regain the weight for Spider-Man 2.

Fatherly Advice - A funny story
Well we look to our parents for advice, but we all know sometimes an unwanted advice becomes too much. After her divorce, this friend of mine (lets call her Lisa) was on a never ending quest to find a "ready made father" for her 3 kids - so she was hopping from one guy to another like a wine tester, looking for that unique and rare blend that, she can keep and drink too.
So she met this doctor, and they were going pretty steady - so we all cheered and toasted to see a silver lining in her dark dating clouds. She decided to introduce the doctor to her parents and she took her prized trophy to her house for dinner - "Dad he is Doctor Joe and this is my father" smiled Lisa.
"Wow you are doctor! you look good, please tie her so that she can't jump from one horse to another" said her father.
What happened next, well she went back to her wine testing mode and we all are holding our glasses for our next Cheers.

Thomas Jeffrey Hanks popularly known as Tom Hanks was born on July 9, 1956, to Amos Mefford Hanks a chef and a distant relation of President Abraham Lincoln's mother, Nancy Hanks. Hanks worked in television and family-friendly comedies before achieving success as a dramatic actor portraying several notable roles, including Andrew Beckett in Philadelphia, the title role in Forrest Gump, Commander James A. Lovell in Apollo 13, Captain John H. Miller in Saving Private Ryan, Michael Sullivan in Road to Perdition, and Sheriff Woody in Disney/Pixar's Toy Story. Hanks is the third most successful actor in terms of box office totals which exceed USD $3.3 billion.
In school, Hanks was unpopular with students and teachers and described himself as horribly, painfully, terribly shy. Tom acted in school plays, including South Pacific, while attending Skyline High School in Oakland, California. Tom spent a lot of time going to plays. He would just drive to a theater, buy a ticket, read the program, and then get into the play completely. After three consecutive flops, Hanks succeeded with the fantasy Big (1988), both at the box office and within the industry, establishing Hanks as a major Hollywood talent.
Hanks won his first Academy award for best actor in 1993 for playing a gay lawyer with AIDS in Philadelphia (he lost thirty-five pounds and thinned his hair in order to appear sickly for the role). In 1994 he won his second Best Actor Academy Award for his role in Forrest Gump, becoming only the second actor to have accomplished the feat of winning back-to-back Best Actor Oscars. He played Captain John H. Miller in Saving Private Ryan, one of the finest war movies ever made under the direction of Steven Spielberg and got his third best actor nomination. A fan of NASA's manned space program, Hanks said that he originally wanted to be an astronaut but "didn't have the math".
